August notes: the list.

It’s really weird how slow time can pass by so slowly in the moment, but also really quickly in the grand scheme of things. Just like that, another month is over and we’re in August. I’m back to share with you 3 things that I’m looking forward to this month. 😊

  • Family Reunion: One of my titas is visiting home from California this month, and in line with this, there’s gonna be a dinner reunion on one of the Saturdays in August. I’m excited for this because I haven’t seen this tita of mine since I went to San Diego last year. Not quite sure how everything’s gonna go, but I’m looking forward to it nonetheless. 😄
  • Writing: In June, I added this to my list already, but that was more about this blog. This month, it returns to the list because I’m taking on something new. Very recently, I got a job as a part-time writer and I’m so excited for this! I’ve barely started but I’ve already learned so much, so I feel really good about this! 😄
  • Poetry: Okay, this is my challenge for the month of August. I noticed that I’ve been writing more recently, but none of it is really creative. So I decided that I would put together a list of prompts to randomly pick from, and I would write something from there. One thing though, as much as I’d like to say I’ll do this every day, realistically I don’t think that’s possible. Instead, I’ll do at least 3 a week, which I think is a sweet spot between doable and challenging. 😄

So yeah, that’s what’s ahead in the month of August! Hopefully it’s more eventful than I expect it to be, but we’ll just have to wait and see. 😅 I hope you have a fantastic month! 😄

’til next time,
