August notes: the outcome.

Alriiiiight. Another month, another list round-up (if you wanna check out the list, click here). My goodness, this month was all over the place. I’ll tell you now, I failed my challenge. I’m disappointed, for sure, but this month also had amazing moments so it’s not all bad. 😊

  • Family Reunion: This was a pretty light and happy evening. It was nice seeing not only our balikbayans, but everyone who we normally see once or twice a year. It was refreshing, catching up and having a bit of a laugh with family. Plus! The food was also really good. There was lechon, which made the spread even more special. 🐷
  • Writing: I’ve been writing part time for a little over a month now, and I have many feelings about it. I’m incredibly happy with the fact that I get to write more regularly and put my work out there, but man, brainstorming topics can get quite tricky. It’s nice because I find new things, but it can be pretty stressful to find stuff and then write about them. I’m not complaining though, I’m learning a lot. 😄
  • Poetry: As I mentioned at the start of this post, I failed at this. I still have my list of prompts and pick list though, so I’ll keep trying monthly, and hopefully something loosens up and I get this complete. 😣

Sooooo yeah. We’re getting pretty close to 2019. 😱 I hope that wherever you are in the world, you have the best last third of the year! Let me know what you have going on! Thank you, reader, you’re absolutely lovely. ❤️

’til next time,
